EZAltz vs Other Steam Account Marketplaces: A Real Comparison

By EZAltz Team Updated May 30, 2026

If you're in the market for Steam accounts, you have options — PlayerAuctions, G2G, Eldorado.gg, FunPay, and a dozen smaller players. Each operates on the same fundamental model: a marketplace where third-party sellers list accounts and buyers purchase them. EZAltz is fundamentally different — an automated generator, not a peer-to-peer marketplace. This comparison breaks down the real differences across the dimensions that matter most: pricing, speed, features, and trust.

PlayerAuctions

Platform fee: 10-15% + payment processing fees. PlayerAuctions is one of the oldest gaming account marketplaces, established in 2004. They have a large seller base and broad game coverage. However, their model is entirely peer-to-peer: you're buying from individual sellers with varying reliability, response times, and account quality. Delivery is entirely manual — you wait for the seller to come online and send credentials. Disputes go through PlayerAuctions' resolution system, which can take days. There is no bulk management, no API, and no automation of any kind.

G2G

Platform fee: 8-12%. G2G is a large digital goods marketplace covering games, software, and services. Like PlayerAuctions, it's peer-to-peer with no automation. G2G has a slightly more modern interface and supports more payment methods, but the core experience is identical: browse listings, pay, wait for the seller. G2G's dispute system is rated reasonably well, but the platform adds 8-12% to every transaction and there are no tools for managing purchased accounts afterward.

Eldorado.gg

Platform fee: 5-8%. Eldorado positions itself as a gamer-focused marketplace with lower fees than the incumbents. Their interface is cleaner, and they have good seller verification. However, they share the same fundamental limitation: manual delivery, seller-dependent availability, no post-purchase management tools, and no automation. The lower fees are attractive, but you're still waiting for a human to deliver your account.

FunPay

Platform fee: 5-10%. FunPay is popular in CIS markets (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) and has strong coverage for Steam accounts in those regions. The platform supports a wide range of payment methods including Russian bank cards and e-wallets. Like all peer-to-peer marketplaces, delivery speed depends entirely on seller availability — and if you're buying from a seller in a different time zone, you may be waiting hours.

The EZAltz Difference

EZAltz doesn't compete on the same axis as traditional marketplaces because it isn't one. Rather than connecting buyers with sellers, EZAltz generates accounts on demand through an automated pipeline. This changes the economics and experience entirely:

Pricing

Traditional marketplaces charge a percentage fee because they need to cover payment processing, dispute resolution, and seller verification — and because they can. EZAltz charges 0% because our marginal cost per account is near zero. There may never be a marketplace that can match 0% fees on a peer-to-peer model.

Speed

The comparison here is almost unfair. Traditional marketplaces measure delivery in minutes (best case) to hours (typical). EZAltz measures it in milliseconds. For a single account, the difference is a minor inconvenience. For a bulk buyer who needs 100 accounts, the difference is hours of waiting versus seconds of automation.

Features

This is where the gap is widest. No traditional marketplace offers account management tools, bulk operations, QR login, or an API. These aren't features they've chosen not to build — they're features that are structurally impossible in a peer-to-peer model because the marketplace doesn't control the accounts. EZAltz can offer these because we generate and manage accounts directly.

Trust

Marketplaces rely on seller ratings and dispute systems. These work reasonably well but are inherently reactive — you find out an account was bad after you've already paid. EZAltz eliminates seller risk entirely because there is no seller. Every account is generated fresh by the same automated pipeline with the same quality standards. If something goes wrong, there's no middleman arbitration — just direct support.
